A company which provides air conditioning and other services is searching for a Head of Technicians & Technical (HVAC) to join their team in Malta. You will oversee all technical operations, including the management of the technician team, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and continuously improving technical processes. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the air conditioning or HVAC industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.

Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the technical team.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Oversee all technical operations, including installations, maintenance, and repairs of air conditioning systems.

Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all technical activities.

Work closely with the customer service team to address and resolve any technical issues or complaints promptly and effectively.

Ensure that the technical team provides excellent customer service and maintains strong customer relationships

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in air conditioning technology and industry best practices.

Provide technical support and expertise to the team and other departments as needed.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions

Ensure that all technical operations comply with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.

Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and ensure the company's compliance.

Identify areas for improvement in technical operations and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the technical team.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive decision making and improvements.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Degree in Engineering, HVAC Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in the air conditioning or HVAC industry, with at least

3 years in a leadership role.

Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning systems and components.

Proven experience in managing and leading a team of technicians.
