Our client, a well-established and reputable hospitality company based in Malta, is seeking a dedicated HR Executive. We are seeking someone who can work independently, has a solid understanding of employment law, is comfortable drafting and implementing policies, and is eager to contribute towards building stronger HR structures and driving new people-focused initiatives within the home. Ideally Maltese or at least understands the language.  This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a background in the hospitality or travel industry to make a significant impact within a growing company. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
    • Creating and updating job descriptions in line with new and evolving roles across the organisation.
    • Liaising with recruitment agencies, sourcing new partners, and reviewing/amending agency agreements prior to engagement.
    •  Managing the LinkedIn Recruiter licence and proactively headhunt candidates across the group.
    •  Screening applications, coordinating interviews, and supporting selection and salary proposals.
    • Preparing and issuing job offers, employment contracts in collaboration with the HR Admin and support with Work Permit processes.
    • Coordinating onboarding with HR Admin and Payroll team to ensure a smooth new joiner experience.
    •  Supporting the implementation and ongoing use of the HRIS (Talexio) within the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Offboarding & Employee Lifecycle:
    • Managing employee resignations and ensuring completion of all offboarding procedures.
    • Conducting exit meetings and maintaining accurate documentation and feedback records.
    • Coordinating termination updates with HR Admin and Payroll team and supporting managers with replacement planning.
  • Employee Relations & Disciplinary Support:
    • Assisting with disciplinary procedures, including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation taking minutes and maintaining records.
  • Performance Management:
    • Supporting the preparation of performance insights to inform promotions, salary reviews, and development plans.
    • Partnering with managers to prepare for performance review discussions and support fair, consistent processes.
    • Administering Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), monitoring progress, and advising on outcomes. 
  • Learning & Development:
    • Supporting the development of the company training function and liaising with training providers.
    • Assisting with Investing in Skills scheme documentation and training administration.
    • Preparing training evaluations and follow up with participants.
  • HR Reporting & Budget Support:
    • Preparing monthly HR reports and metrics.
    • Supporting the Head of HR in monitoring the HR budget, including recruitment and training spend.
    • Contributing to HR projects, policy updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Employee Engagement:
    • Coordinating engagement surveys, analysing results and supporting initiatives to improve employee experience.
    • Planning company events, tea-building activities, and recognition programs.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an HR role.
  • Good understanding of Maltese Employment Law and HR best practices.
  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and HR administration.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, preferably Talexio
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, people-oriented, and able to build positive working relationships.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
  • €32,000 - €35,000 Gross Per Annum.
  • Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
