A firm which specializes in monitoring and advising gaming companies, is searching for an Information Management Officer to join their team in Malta. This role involves the generation and collection of internal data, cleaning and validation, analysis and on-time circulation of reports issued by the Information Management unit. The ideal candidate will have a degree Level of education (statistics or economics an advantage) and have excellent Excel or Power BI skills. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participation in the external data collection, carry-out checks and reviews of the data submitted by the operators, as well as co-ordinates with licensees in case of data inconsistency or missing information, 
  • Compilation of data from multiple internal and external sources, 
  • Presentation of KPIs using various Microsoft Office tools including MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and Power BI Desktop or equivalent,
  • Assist in the formulation, data collection and analysis of any other surveys that may be commissioned by the company,
  • Assist in the content writing of reports intended both for internal and external consumption and the review of such before publication, 
  • Participate in the analysis of the types of data collected from licensees, to ensure that no redundant data is collected, minimise unnecessary burden on licensees and ensure that all data collected has a clear and defined purpose, 
  • Create PowerBI dashboards in consultation with all relevant internal business functions, while liaising with the Authority’s data engineer and data steward to ensure that the whole data flow is as efficient and reliable as possible, 
  • Carry out any other duties as directed by the Information Manager, Head of Business Transformation and/or Chief Officer - Finance & Business Transformation. 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Degree Level of education (MQF level 6 or equivalent);
  • Tertiary level qualification in Statistics, Economics or equivalent will be considered an asset;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy; 
  • The ideal candidate needs to enjoy working with internal databases, MS Excel and business analytics tools;
  • Demonstrate to be a proficient user of MS Excel and have previous experience in using such tool to analyse data and draw conclusions from it; 
  • Knowledge of Power BI or an equivalent business analytics tool; 
  • Ability to organise and present findings and recommendations in a concise manner (both verbal and written); 
  • Takes ownership of actions and projects; 
  • Excellent command of English both written and spoken; 
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment; 
  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations governing gaming in Malta shall be considered an asset.
