A leading IT Solutions firm is searching for an Information Security Analyst to join their team in Malta. You will design and execute security strategies and lead audits and assessments. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years’ experience in information security technologies and management and have a clean driving license. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and Execute Security Strategies: Develop policies to protect people, assets, and sensitive information.
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Conduct risk assessments, investigate security incidents, and implement solutions.
  • Cybersecurity: Protection of company and client’s digital environments and networks from cyber threats.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with various teams to integrate security into business processes and projects.
  • Lead Audits and Assessments: Perform regular security checks and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage Incident Response: Create and maintain response plans, working with external stakeholders when needed.
  • Promote Security Awareness: Foster a culture of security through employee education and training.
  • On-Call Availability: This role requires availability to respond to critical security incidents and ensure prompt and effective issue resolution.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years experience in information security technologies and management.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Hands-on experience with Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Cloud security technologies, Vulnerability Assessment Tools, Web Application Firewalls.
    • Proficiency in maintaining and deploying security tools such as firewalls, DNS, VPN, AV/MDR/EDR, IAM, Email security, WAF, cloud security, PKI, among others.
    • Knowledge and experience in incident management.
    • Advanced knowledge of security principles like Zero Trust and Least Privilege.
    • Familiarity with legal, regulatory, industry standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, PCIDSS, and NIS 2.
  • Accountability and Teamwork: Ability to take ownership of security verticals and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bonus points for certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or any vendor certifications (e.g., Rapid7, Darktrace, etc.).
  • A valid B Driving License
