On behalf of our client, a well-established Financial Services Group are working in partnership with GRS Recruitment and is currently looking to recruit an Internal Accountant to be based in Nicosia. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Compiling Group VAT workings and preparing the VAT returns for submission

Maintaining relevant contact with the tax authorities and tax advisers for submissions and payments

Preparing payments and overseeing the process to make sure that all payments have been executed.

Handling the day-to-day accounting operations of companies including cashflow and credit control
-
Handling the Group Monthly payroll and Social Insurances procedures
-
Preparation and review of the annual financial statements, management accounts and Group Audits.

Preparation and review of periodic regulatory reporting to the local regulators.
-
Working closely with external parties such as auditors, Banks, and tax advisors.

Performing any accounting or financial task and Internal Projects as assigned.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.
-
At least 2-5 years of relevant working experience in a similar position.

Holder or partial holder of ACCA or other similar qualification
-
Any background accounting in the Corporate Sector.

Excellent Knowledge of accounting Software Programs such as: Sage, CaseWare, Profit Maker

Computer literacy with excellent knowledge of Microsoft office applications and Excel.

Excellent command of the Greek and English language.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently, to learn and adapt.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

Able to think outside the box with a high element of pro-activeness.
