GRS is hiring for an established company in Malta who provide international cargo logistics and aircraft technical solutions to the aviation industry and currently seeking an IT Services Specialist who will report to the IT Services Manager and serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone or email. The role involves conducting remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and asking relevant questions to resolve customer issues. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess customer issues and determine the best solution based on the details provided.
  • Guide customers through the troubleshooting process.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support staff as needed.
  • Provide accurate information about IT products or services to customers.
  • Log events, problems, and resolutions for record-keeping.
  • Follow up with customers to provide updates on their status and information.
  • Relay customer feedback or suggestions to the relevant internal team.
  • Identify and suggest potential procedural improvements.
  • Offer end-to-end support for solutions involving development.
  • Assist and support the project management team in development projects (quality assurance, testing, end-user training).
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
  • 1-2 years of proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of various computer systems and networks.
  • Familiarity with internet security and data privacy principles.
  • A service-oriented approach with a focus on providing excellent support
