An independent managed IT services provider with an excellent track record and years of proven experience which builds and maintains highly reliable, modern, and efficient Business IT networks using a wide array of cloud first technologies is searching for an IT Support Administrator to join their team in Malta. The ideal candidate will contribute to the efficient management and support of their IT infrastructure and visit client offices to provide IT support.The ideal candidate will have a valid driving license for Malta and have proven experience in configuring and assembling laptops and desktops and managing IT hardware, Experience in Microsoft 365 and huge asset.  If you have the required skills and background and are looking to join a small and friendly firm, GRS look forward to receiving your CV for this Malta based IT Support Administrator role.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Device Configuration: Configure and maintain clients' laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and other hardware for employees, ensuring they are up-to-date and secure.
  • Microsoft Office 365: Manage and troubleshoot Office 365 applications, user accounts, and licenses. Collaborate with end-users to address their needs and issues.
  • Backup Solutions: Familiarization with different Veeam Backup Solutions is a plus.
  • Monitoring Tools: Set up and configure monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues with IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Formulate, launch, and upkeep desktops, operating systems, and bespoke desktop applications in line with industry and security norms.
  • Ascertain minimal disruption and peak performance via proactive strategizing, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
  • Network Maintenance: Assist with network administration tasks, including accessing switches, routers, firewalls, and setup of basic network equipment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
  • User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist with IT-related inquiries.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure a seamless IT experience for all clients
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in configuring and assembling laptops and desktops and managing IT hardware.
  • Knowledge about Microsoft Office 365, Windows and Mac OS X administration, and printer administration is considered an asset.
  • Experience setting up monitoring tools for IT infrastructure.
  • Expertise in deploying and managing Windows desktops and Macbooks.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA) are a plus.
  • Possession of a Maltese driving license is a requirement for this job.
