A global financial institution, which is fully regulated by the MFSA is looking for an IT Technical Support Officer to join their team in Malta. You form part of the team responsible to sustain all the front-line technology requirements of the Company. The ideal candidate will be in possession of IT qualifications and have relevant working experience. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a valued central point of reference for all staff in the resolution of technical support requests
  • Offer guidance to employees towards acceptable usage of IT systems and the general improvement of the overall user experience of the technology stack
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of technology initiatives
  • Manage all support communication channels such as the IT Service Helpdesk to fulfil service level objectives of the IT department
  • Work closely with highly experienced experts within the IT field, to support operational business activities reliant on leading edge technologies
  • Enable all technology aspects of collaborative activities and events of the Company
  • Delegate IT operational duties on infrastructure, office productivity and business systems
  • Installation, administration and troubleshooting of endpoint devices and peripherals
  • Work towards the further understanding and learning of key areas of our technology stack
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Continuously support the security culture and the upholding of all IT and security policies within the Company, through induction, training and other activities.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Show innate inquisitiveness driven by a passion for technology
  • Great team player, showing initiative and commitment
  • Able to uphold the highest levels customer service
  • Possess a firm command of the verbal and written English language to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • ​Prior experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Formal IT qualifications are essential while relevant vendor certifications will be considered as assets. ​
