Our client, one of the leading boutique advisory and tax firms in Malta, serving both international and local clients, are looking for a Junior Accounts Associate to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will currently be reading for a University Degree in Accounting or started ACCA qualification. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analysis of invoices provided by client.

Posting them in accounting package

Scanning the documentation when necessary

Assisting with the maintenance of fixed asset register

Assistance with calculating depreciation
-
Assistance with sourcing supporting documentation when necessary.

Assistance with payroll
-
Assistance with preparation of management accounts.

Prepare Income Tax and VAT returns accompanied by computations for a variety of local and international clients

Assist team with technical tax matters
-
Handle client communications and attend client meetings
-
Liaise with Tax Authorities
-
Provide quality service to clients
-
Conduct research on relevant tax legislations
-
Assess clients and report on compliance with legislation.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Applicants should have started the process to attain their ACCA professional qualifications with at least 2 papers completed

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

Positive can-do attitude

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Pro-active and organised with a keen eye for detail

Excellent command of written and spoken English

Must already be living in Malta with valid work visa
