An international Management Solutions firm which outsources to gaming clients based in Malta is seeking a Junior Legal & Compliance Officer to join their dynamic team. You will report to the Compliance Team Lead and provide hands-on involvement in a wide range of legal and corporate matters. The ideal candidate will be closely involved in the commercial contractual side of the business, while also supporting corporate governance and playing an active role in cross-border restructuring projects. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITLIES
- Review, draft and negotiate agreements
- Manage contract lifecycle including execution, monitoring of key terms and deadlines, renewals and archiving
- Maintain and update accurate internal documentation and legal records
- Project management - provide support and/or manage corporate restructuring processes from start to completion
- Liaise with external consultants to implement company changes in business registries, including director appointments, share transfers, and other statutory filings
- Coordinate other legal processes with external consultants
- Coordinate legal documentation and internal stakeholder communication
- Take care of companies’ corporate governance by maintaining statutory registers, organizing board and shareholder meetings, preparing minutes and BoD resolutions and other necessary documents
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- A Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification (LL.B or higher)
- 1 - 2 years of experience in a similar in-house legal or corporate services role, ideally in a regulated or international environment
- Solid understanding of contract law and corporate governance
- Comfortable working with external legal consultants and business registries across jurisdictions
- Strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office and comfort with legal or contract management tools (e.g., Docusign)
