A well-established and international provider of online services and platforms for the gaming industry is searching for a Junior Legal & Compliance Officer to join their team in Malta. You will be responsible for supporting a wide range of legal and regulatory activities to ensure the company’s adherence to applicable laws and standards. Your role will include assisting with the drafting and review of contracts, monitoring regulatory developments, and supporting licensing processes. You will also be involved in compliance programs, policies, and internal controls, as well as KYC/KYB procedures and other documentation requirements. Additionally, you will provide general administrative support to the Legal and Compliance team while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic, international environment. The ideal candidate will have a Law degree and at least one years’ experience in a compliance or regulatory. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting with drafting, reviewing and managing commercial contracts, NDAs, and agreements with partners and suppliers.

Conducting research on regulatory changes and ensuring the company stays compliant with evolving laws.

Monitoring regulatory developments and advising on the implications for the company.

Assisting in the regulatory licensing process and communications with regulatory authorities as needed.

Preparing and maintaining compliance documents and reports, ensuring accurate records

Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance programs, policies, and internal controls.

Supporting legal processes related to data protection, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.

Assisting with Know Your Customer (KYC) / Know Your Business (KYB) processes, compliance screenings, and onboarding documentation.

Providing general administrative support to the legal and compliance team as needed.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.

Minimum 1 year of experience in a legal, regulatory, or compliance-related role.

Familiarity with iGaming laws and regulations is a plus.

Knowledge of EU and/or international compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, AMLD, MiCA) is an asset.

Strong research and analytical skills.

Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Excellent communication skills in English.
