A well-established company in the aviation industry that provides international cargo logistics and aircraft technical solutions is searching for a Learning & Development Manager to join their team in Malta. You will report to the Group Organisation Development Leader and be required to design, lead and execute learning and development strategies, programs, and initiatives aligned with the Group’s strategic & business needs. The selected candidate will have 3 to 5 years’ experience leading a learning and development, organization function/department in a fast-paced environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the Group’s Learning & Development strategy, processes and procedures

Conduct training needs analysis for teams and professional groups within the organization.

Ensure that employees’ personal and professional skills, capabilities, and competencies gaps in the organization are identified, and together with other stakeholders across the group create action plans to fill in these gaps.

Create an annual training and development program based on the group’s strategic capability needs.

Create strategic career paths and growth programs that contribute towards the group’s talent attraction, development and retention strategies.

Coordinate and review e-learning and traditional training material
-
Deliver and facilitate various learning sessions for various groups of employees both on-site and/or virtually.

Coordinate and assist in the implementation and maintenance of various platforms/systems/digital tools such as but not limited to HRIS and learning management systems.

In collaboration with the organizational development team define and monitor talent related objectives and respective KPIS that act as a business enabler

Build and maintain strong and trusted relationships and work closely with SMEs, managers and teams at different levels, both internal and external to the organisation

Prepare, control and ensure effective use is made of the Training and development budget;

Contribute towards the design and monitor the administration and implementation of the performance review process and acts in an advisory capacity to management in the process

Coach team members as needed in the area of career planning, performance review, training and development;

Actively participate in the design and implementation of a group wide succession planning process

Make recommendations in the selection of geographical learning coordinators and assists in their personal development;

Ensure quality and satisfaction of our learning experiences by monitoring, measuring, and assessing the progress and impact of the different training and development programs, projects, and initiatives, and collect feedback to determine areas for improvement.

Research, prepare, and submit comprehensive funding applications to relevant EU programs, demonstrating a thorough understanding of eligibility criteria and ensuring compliance with all funding requirements to secure maximum financial support for training and development projects

Prepare reports as directed by the Group Organizational Development Leader
CANDIDATE PROFILE

3 to 5 years’ experience leading a learning and development, organization function/department in a fast paced environment.

Experience from global companies will be considered as an advantage.

Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development / HR/ Information Science / Knowledge Management / Adult Education and Training

Strong familiarity and hands-on experience with learning methods, practices, tools, and platforms.

Excellent communication, and presentation skills
-
Creative approach and excellent ability to convey visual messages through the construction of presentations and other tools.

Experience in e-learning material, tools ,platforms and establishment of group level learning and development structure.

Enthusiastic, resourceful, problem-solver, highly analytical, and independent yet a team player.

Excellent English fluency - verbal and written.
