A market leader in global financial services and next-generation multi-channel trading software systems is working with GRS Recruitment to recruit a Legal Advisor to join their rapidly expanding Nicosia operation. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience, ideally a combination of 2 years in a law firm and 2 years in financial services, Forex, or corporate advisory within regulated entities. Experience with licensing applications in the financial sector will be considered a strong advantage. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide day-to-day legal support to the Company, including drafting and reviewing commercial agreements (e.g., Marketing/IO/T&C/License Agreements) and corporate agreements (e.g., Share Purchase Agreements, NDAs, Service Agreements).

Provide internal legal advice and opinions across the business.

Perform research on legal cases and industry-specific regulations.

Cooperate with independent external law offices and advisors.

Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.

Generate reports, coordinate responses, and compile information/documentation requested by various departments and external professionals (e.g., auditors, banks, external counsel).

Assist with matters related to personal data protection, including drafting documents and ensuring continuous compliance with GDPR.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in Law, preferably from a common law jurisdiction.

Admission to the Cyprus Bar Association.

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, ideally split between law firm and financial services/regulated corporate advisory.

Experience in licensing applications within financial services is a plus.

Previous experience in FX/CFDs or regulated financial services will be advantageous.

Knowledge of local and EU laws, regulations, and directives relevant to data protection.

Fluency in English (written and spoken) with strong drafting ability.

Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
