MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Head of Legal and Compliance and the wider global compliance team on legal, regulatory, and governance matters affecting the group’s investment firms.
  • Assist in regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with business units, senior management, and various departments to deliver legal and compliance input across ongoing projects.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and assess their impact on business operations.
  • Help implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal training initiatives.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.
  • Oversee key AML/Compliance tasks, including transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting (SARs), and client due diligence (CDD/KYC).
  • Take responsibility for the Compliance and AML function within the company’s Cyprus entity regulated by CySEC.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Law degree with 1–2 years of legal or financial services experience.
  • Recent graduates with strong academic performance in Law, Economics, Finance, or Business will also be considered.
  • Holding a CySEC Advanced Certificate and/or AML Certificate is highly advantageous.
  • Solid knowledge of EU/UK financial regulation, including MiFID II, and AML frameworks.
  • Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to legal and regulatory matters.
  • Strong communication, legal drafting, and research skills.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, or French) is a plus.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and eager to grow in a collaborative and fast-moving environment.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
