GRS Recruitment are working along with a growing shipping and investment firm and are seeking to recruit a transactional Legal Counsel in Limassol. The successful will be asked to support the commercial and finance teams in a variety of cross-border investment and finance activities. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in negotiations, lead the execution of asset finance transactions, acquisition finance, leasing projects, joint- ventures, investment agreements and corporate transactions.

Corporate secretarial tasks (board resolutions and protocols and other corporate documentation)

Liaise with the Company’s external legal advisors, primarily leading UK, Europe and USA based law firms
-
Liaise with the Company’s financiers, partners, investors.

Draft corporate documents and a variety of internal/external agreements.

Perform legal and corporate due-diligence
-
Supervise compliance, KYC, AML matters

Assist in corporate and any other legal matters as required
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
5+ years post qualification experience in a leading law firm and/or suitable in-house experience
-
Experience (as a lawyer) in either banking, shipping, asset finance, leasing or related practices
-
Familiarity with English Law – an advantage
-
Experience in the energy, infrastructure or transportation sectors - an advantage
-
Fluent written and spoken English incl. legal drafting and presentational skills

Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Self-motivated team player
