An Online Casino is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their expanding Legal team in Malta. You will provide support and advice on a wide range of legal activities across various departments and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain exceptional experience in a fast-paced iGaming environment with a focus on both online casino and sportsbook across new jurisdictions. You should apply if you have at least 2 years’ experience as a Lawyer with demonstrated experience in igaming contract reviews and negotiations (especially about Payment Service Providers). MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Main contact for day-to-day contractual reviews, negotiations, and drafting including Game Supplier agreements, Payment Service Provider agreements, Affiliate and Marketing terms and conditions, intercompany service and loan agreements
  • Ensuring company terms and conditions, and legal policies are up-to-date and remain compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Amendments of existing agreements and management of contract renewal/extension dates
  • Cooperate with external legal counsel on jurisdiction-specific legal matters, including litigations, enforcement, and license application matters
  • Manage trademark and IP portfolio of the company’s brands
  • Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations;
  • Assist with company incorporation and/or restructuring
  • Advise stakeholders and other departments on legal requirements and risk pertaining to the business and from time to time when required provide legal training to such parties.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Possess a Law Degree (LLB, LLM, Doctorate or equivalent)
  • At least 2+ years experience as a lawyer
  • Demonstrated good experience in igaming contract reviews and negotiations (especially with regard to Payment Service Providers)
  • Solid knowledge of corporate and commercial law
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Ability to work independently and cooperate with different teams
  • Excellent analytical skills with the capacity of identifying all risks and proactively choosing the best solutions.
