Our client, a leading IT company based in Malta, is seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join their team. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the company’s entire logistics process, ensuring seamless communication between the internal sales, finance teams, and external logistics teams such as the suppliers, warehouses and delivery partners. This role requires managing a high volume of deliveries and a large inventory, ensuring that all products are delivered on time and that stock levels are accurate. The coordinator will confirm orders, purchase goods and services, and track inventory. A key part of the job is continuously improving all logistics processes to make them more efficient and cost-effective, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer to achieve these goals. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
- Receive and validate purchase requests, place and track orders, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Oversee the receiving of goods, perform quality checks, and manage inventory to prevent loss or damage, conducting monthly stock takes and ensuring proper storage.
- Schedule and oversee the delivery of products to our customers, optimizing timelines and costs while keeping all stakeholders informed with timely updates.
- Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to continuously improve our logistics processes, making them more efficient and cost-effective.
- Maintain detailed records of all logistics activities and generate reports on stock levels and order fulfillment.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a logistics, supply chain, or a similar role is a must.
- A valid Maltese driving license is a must.
- A professional qualification (such as a degree, diploma or certification) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and inventory management systems.
- Strong computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with tracking shipments, managing purchase orders, and maintaining detailed records.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers, customers, internal teams, and management.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, with a meticulous eye for detail to ensure accuracy in orders, inventory, and documentation.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset to address logistical challenges, delays, or discrepancies quickly and effectively.
- A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
