On behalf of our client, a Payment Solutions Provider in Limassol, GRS are looking for an experienced and proactive Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to lead and oversee our AML/CFT compliance framework for the Cyprus entity. In this role, you will be taking full ownership of ensuring strict adherence to local regulatory standards while enabling business growth in a fast-paced fintech environment. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the designated MLRO, serving as the main liaison with local regulatory bodies and external auditors.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously refine our AML/CFT policies, risk assessments, and internal controls in line with evolving local and EU regulations.
- Oversee transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting (SARs), and high-risk client escalations.
- Conduct annual AML risk assessments and prepare regular compliance reports for the Board of Directors and executive management.
- Provide expert guidance and training to internal teams on AML/KYC/Sanctions compliance and regulatory best practices.
- Stay ahead of regulatory shifts in traditional payments, EMI operations, and digital assets/crypto services.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Must possess existing, unrestricted legal authorization to work in Cyprus / EU (no visa sponsorship provided).
- 3+ years of experience in an MLRO or senior AML/Compliance role.
- CySEC Advanced and/or CySEC AML Certification is required. Relevant industry credentials (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) are a strong plus.
- Deep understanding of EU AML directives, local Cyprus regulations, payment infrastructures (SEPA/SWIFT, virtual IBANs), and digital assets/crypto compliance.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a hands-on, pragmatic approach to problem-solving in a fast-moving fintech environment.
- Fluent in English (Greek is a strong advantage).
