Our client, a reputable private insurance company based in Malta, is seeking a dedicated Claims Handler to join their team. The Claims Handler is responsible for the efficient and professional handling of non-motor claims from FNOL through to final settlement, ensuring adherence to policy terms and corporate claims procedures. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITLIES
  • Register and assess new claims in accordance with policy coverage.
  • Manage claims related to Household and Private Marine lines.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough claims documentation and records.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with brokers, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Investigate and assess potential fraudulent claims.
  • Facilitate prompt and accurate processing of claim payments within delegated authority limits.
  • Conduct proactive claims reviews to ensure efficient case management.
  • Support ongoing claims process improvements and optimization initiatives.
  • Assist team members by handling delegated tasks as required.
  • Evaluate claims within the framework of policy terms and company guidelines.
  • Engage in professional development activities to enhance technical expertise.
  • Provide support to management and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless claims operations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Previous experience in insurance claims handling, preferably within the insurance or pensions sector.
  • Knowledge of non-motor insurance policies and claims processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A collaborative team player who can work independently and take ownership of their work.
