An international investment bank is searching for an Onboarding Supervisor to join their Onboarding team in Malta. You will assist the Onboarding Manager in leading, guiding, training and mentoring team members and in reviewing existing processes and policies, and also create new ones to enable the smooth day to day operation of the team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s Degree in Banking or relevant qualifications and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Assist in leading, managing and guiding the team in the on-boarding process of new customers

Collaborate with introducers of Business for the purpose of considering Bank Account applications of Corporate Entities and/or Fund Structures

Assessment of a Customer Profile against the Bank’s Customer’s acceptance guidelines

Coordination with Introducers of Business to collect due diligence documents needed to open a Bank Account
-
Liaise with other departments to collect KYC and other documents required to process an account opening application
-
General relationship management with customers to promote the efficient use of services offered by the Bank, including the taking of deposits, card services, foreign exchange and online banking

Assist in drafting business performance reports and streamline and improve existing processes and applications

Advise the Manager on product development and customer experience in corporate banking

Liaise with the Ireland Branch in relation to customers of Ireland Branch

Assist with risk management within the corporate banking and client, as first line of defence

Assist with management replies and follow up of compliance, internal and external audit findings

Enhance the on boarding assessment with possibly new and/or revised controls;

Promote the Bank’s brand with the industry through participation in various conferences
-
Assist the Manager with important material issue/s and implement changes (where necessary)

Assist in developing prospect relationships and to enhance, grow and retain those relationships

Client research through various media and with various counterparties or information outlets
-
Assist the Manager with existing and new ad hoc projects, reviews and requests

Review, draft and implement existing and new processes, procedures and policies

Prepare and issue reports as the need may be

Escalate breaches or outstanding unresolved issues, both internal and external
-
Conduct reviews of files processed by the members of the team

Identify training needs and suggest a training program for the team

Delegate and assign work to the team as required

Train and mentor new and existing employees
-
Assist the Manager in setting goals for the team’s performance, ensuring it is in line with the Bank’s standards

Attend internal and external meetings
