We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Operations, Strategy & Risk Officer who wants to be involved in all aspects of the business and work closely with and directly support the COO. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting, enjoys variety in their day-to-day work, and wants to help shape the organisation’s strategic direction. The ideal candidate is passionate about risk management, business optimisation, and driving continuous improvement across teams and processes.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, implement, and refine risk management strategies, frameworks, policies, and controls that support organisational goals.
  • Recommend enhancements to strengthen internal controls and business processes.
  • Support the creation and rollout of company policies, procedures, and operational protocols.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments and audits, presenting clear and actionable findings to internal stakeholders.
  • Review legal and financial documentation for proposals to ensure compliance with internal standards.
  • Manage relationships with vendors related to risk, ensuring obligations are met and value is delivered.
  • Coordinate and facilitate audits and external certifications.
  • Support the COO and executive team on cross-functional initiatives, strategic projects, and operational improvements.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Proven experience in a similar or relevant role.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • Experience in process walkthroughs, risk assessments, internal controls, strategic planning, proposals, and financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent project management abilities with strong prioritisation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capability, able to break down complex issues and deliver practical, efficient solutions.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn and grow within the organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills with sound judgement and decision-making abilities.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
