GRS Recruitment is excited to announce a 1-year contract opening for an Operations Manager with our esteemed client in the Oil & Gas sector, based in Limassol. This leading company offers a dynamic work environment and is seeking a talented individual with a minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in the oil and gas industry with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Organize and coordinate operational activities to ensure a timely and effective response to client requirements on a 24/7 basis.
  • Oversee base personnel, including task allocation, performance evaluation, training, and issue resolution. Promote productivity and high performance through motivation and leadership.
  • Ensure cost-effective utilization of operational resources, including personnel and assets.
  • Actively participate in internal and client Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) meetings and training sessions.
  • Manage and appraise the performance of the Operations team assigned to client projects.
  • Build effective relationship with Client personnel and always promote the company’s name, ensuring the service levels across the business meet customer expectations.
  • Seek innovative solutions and opportunities for business growth.
  • Plan and manage yard space and workload distribution based on current and upcoming project needs.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely and quality delivery of equipment and services.
  • Actively participate in project coordination, ensuring efficient deployment of equipment and manpower.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure it is conducted with accuracy, professionalism, and effectively.
  • Follow up closely on imports/exports and ensure smooth and effective logistical operations.
  • Ensure that all operations are accurately charged to the client from a time, man-hours, and services standpoint and supported by the relevant supporting documentation. Must oversee the subcontractor billing on a daily basis.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE Laws /Regulations and Company’s HSSEQ policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior management on all HSSEQ-related matters.
  • Prepare operational forecasts, KPIs, and cost reports.
  • Strictly adhere to all company policies, procedures, and Company’s 12 Life Saving Rules; non-compliance will result in disciplinary action.
  • Attend all required internal and external training programs.
  • Actively participate and contribute to the Company’s SHOC (Safety Hazard Observation Card) program, with a minimum of one SHOC submission per month.
  • Comply with Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) policies and procedures.
  • Report all incidents and near-misses directly to the Country Manager.
  • To stop the job whenever an act that is about to endanger life (or asset) is about to take place.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Holder of Diploma in Supply Chain or Logistics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to adapt quickly to new software and technical systems.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in the oil and gas industry with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong Knowledge of Port logistics operations, Warehouse and Material management, transportation, Shipping, Handling and Lifting equipment.
  • Hands-on experience in lifting operation, including planning and implementation of lifting strategies.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard ERP and inventory systems.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Effective and efficient management skills.
