A newly established Payments Provider is looking for an experienced reduced hours Accountant to join their team in Malta. You will manage all financial transactions and prepare budgets forecasts. The company has modern offices in the heart of Malta. The perfect candidate will be fully qualified and have been MFSA approved in an Accounting role. It is also imperative that your background comes from within the Payments, Banking or Credit institutions. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage all accounting transactions

Prepare budget forecasts

Publish financial statements in a timely manner

Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings

Reconcile accounts payable and receivable

Ensure timely bank payments

Compute taxes and prepare tax returns

Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity

Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary

Comply with financial policies and regulations
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role

Fully or part qualified ACCA
-
Experienced must have been gained within Payments, Banking or Credit institutions
-
Ideally MFSA approved in an Accounting role (not imperative)

Content with working mornings or afternoons (09:00 – 14:00 is suggested but flexible)
