We are working with a reputable accounting firm in Larnaca that is seeking a dedicated Payments Officer to join their dynamic team. We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Payments Officer to join our dynamic Payments Department. The Payments Officer will be responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate processing of payments, maintaining records, and handling payment-related queries. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of financial transactions and compliance with relevant regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Payment Processing: Execute and manage daily payment transactions, including domestic and international transfers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of payment accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are promptly addressed.

Compliance: Ensure all payment activities comply with internal policies, regulatory standards, and anti-fraud measures.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of all payment transactions and provide reports as required.

Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve payment issues or discrepancies, liaising with banks and internal departments as necessary.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve payment processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors.

Customer Support: Handle payment-related inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders with a high level of professionalism and service in accordance with the Group standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar payments role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.

Experience with international payment systems and currency management is a plus.
