The Payroll & HR Assistant will be reporting to the HR Manager and will be mainly focused on the overall payroll process whilst dealing with all the departments to assist in key HR areas such as but not limited to recruitment and retention, training and development, communication, employee engagement/recognition, and employment law compliance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Liaise with departmental managers/clients to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing

Take ownership of the payroll process by compiling and entering information whilst ensuring data provided is accurate

Resolve payroll discrepancies and queries by analysing information gathered

Post job adverts to relevant platform

Liaise with recruitment agencies and service providers regarding personnel required when necessary

Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes

Assist the HR Business Partner on workpermit and visa applications

Support the implementation of company policies and procedures

Coordinate internal surveys and other initiatives to gather employee feedback

Assist in the implementation of the annual performance review of employees

Assist with staff training and development whilst ensuring the upkeeping of the training matrix
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Previous experience in Human Resources and payroll functions
-
Background or understanding of the engineering sector is highly desirable

Strong organisational and administration skills
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
-
Proficient in relevant HR and payroll software systems
-
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
-
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
