On behalf of our client, within the Banking Sector, GRS Recruitment are seeking Private Banking Client Relations Officer based in Malta. This position is mainly focused on duties relating to client relationship management within the Private Banking Department. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the background work leading to the preparation of a formal investment recommendations for clients
- Assist in keeping the Bank’s Portfolio Management System updated with recording client trades, corporate actions and other cash entries
- General relationship management with customers to promote the efficient use of Private Banking services offered by the Bank including, the taking of deposits, foreign exchange, brokerage, and advisory services
- Assist in developing prospect relationships, and to enhance / grow / retain those new relationships
- Assist in on-boarding of clients, collecting documentation, processing client documentation and applications relating to products and services contracted, maintaining records, and archiving the same
- Assist and prepare notifications for publication from time to time;
- Liaise across departments and regulatory functions within the Bank with a view to assisting in the proper and timely prosecution of business flows and transactions including but not exclusively the Trade and Settlement desks and the Payments department
- Assist in the redaction and maintenance of processes and procedures
- Assistance with Credit Facilities (Annexes, Workings and submission of credit application forms to Credit committee)
- Assistance with Corporate Actions
- Handle successions
- Handle complaints
- Appropriateness test for non-advisory trades
- Handle clients’ instructions / trade details / Telephone Instructions
- Assisting in the departments’ administrative tasks and taking minutes for departmental meetings or other meetings as needed from time to time
- Data Extraction and maintenance
- Collection of KYC / CDD conducive to the account opening process
- Collection of MiFID documentation
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance or a relevant qualification;
- One year experience
- Experience in a similar position within a bank is considered an asset
- Good IT knowledge
- Working knowledge of MiFID and the Conduct of Business Rulebook is considered an asset
- Working knowledge of AML / CFT rules and Implementing Procedures is considered an asset
- Capable of managing clients’ requirements accurately and efficiently
- Hands on with can do attitude
- Analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive, focused and able to plan and consistently meet deadlines
- Strong command of English, both oral and written
- Able to work in a team and willing to learn new skills
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- € 30,000 - €38,000 Gross Per Annum
- Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability
