An international telecommunications provider is looking for a Product Owner to join their team in Malta. Your role will involve close collaboration with our development teams to guarantee the achievement of business, quality, and functional objectives with every product release.  The ideal candidate will have experience in the mobile messaging industry and a minimum of 3 years’ in a product role. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to analyse needs and align the product roadmap with strategic goals.
  • Draft key objectives, strategies, and apply product data to make business decisions.
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize features to ensure focus on those with maximum value aligned with the product strategy.
  • Review market trends, new innovations, and competitor offerings, and provide suggestions for new product development. Concurrently, maintain feedback channels with other departments within the organization for similar direction.
  • Create the required specifications and the overall design of the product, including technical requests, in close coordination with the Technical Team.
  • Lead discussions and reviews with each department involved to ensure a complete product design process is conducted per project requirements.
  • Work on identifying and formulating new prospects for commercialization.
  • Provide all required reporting and information updates to senior management, and colleagues as requested.
  • Act as an ambassador for the product both internally and externally and be the primary contact for product-related queries.
  • Manage and coordinate project teams throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with all product stakeholders to ensure coherency and correct execution.
  • Provide assistance with any ad hoc business development tasks assigned by the company.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the market, stay updated with industry developments, and consistently maintain a solid understanding of the product to effectively support strategic business development decision-making.
  • Attend fairs, conferences, and exhibitions, and occasional business travel as necessary.
  • Any other tasks and functions that may arise or are appointed by the management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A tertiary and/or post-secondary academic qualification in IT or a related field is required.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in computer literacy with a strong background in IT and a good understanding of the mobile messaging industry.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
  • An analytical and strategic mindset is needed.
  • Strong work ethic, project leadership, and time management skills are important.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to set and achieve targets.
  • Capable of assuming responsibility and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Skilled in collaborating with other teams and departments.
