GRS Recruitment is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer to help our client in Limassol build reliable, scalable, and high-performing software solutions. You'll play a key role in shaping our testing strategy, driving automation, and continuously improving our software delivery process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Review business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure they are complete, testable, and aligned with product expectations.

Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios covering functional, integration, regression, system, and exploratory testing.

Perform end-to-end testing to validate new features, enhancements, and production releases.

Ensure comprehensive test coverage across all applications and releases.

Execute API testing using Postman or similar tools to validate integrations and backend services.

Write SQL queries to validate data integrity, investigate issues, and support troubleshooting.

Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using defect management tools.

Perform root cause analysis and work closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues efficiently.

Build, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript).

Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable automated test scripts following industry best practices.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Continuously improve QA processes, testing standards, automation coverage, and quality metrics.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

3–5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software QA Engineer or Test Automation Engineer.

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices.

Proven experience in functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.

Experience creating and maintaining detailed test plans, test cases, and test documentation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Experience testing web and mobile applications.

Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, or similar automation frameworks.

Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, or another scripting language for test automation.

Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or REST clients.

Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases for backend validation and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing within modern DevOps environments is considered an advantage.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering exceptional software quality.

Experience with performance or load testing tools.

Experience testing cloud-based or microservices architectures.

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms.

Knowledge of security testing principles.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- €65,000 - €80,000 Gross Per Annum
- Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
