GRS Recruitment is working with a well-established international consulting firm providing a comprehensive range of corporate, trust, accounting, immigration and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of international clients. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Accountant to join the team in Cyprus. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Qualified Accountant to work with a diverse portfolio of international clients across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting, financial reporting and advisory services, while working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders. This role is fully office-based and offers significant exposure to international corporate structures and cross-border business operations. International travel may be required from time to time to support client engagements and business requirements.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the accounting and financial reporting requirements for a portfolio of international corporate clients.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable local accounting standards.
- Prepare management accounts and financial reports for clients and senior management.
- Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Prepare and review accounting records, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, regulatory requirements, and applicable tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Assist with corporate restructurings, company formations, liquidations and other corporate transactions where required.
- Work closely with internal corporate services, legal and compliance teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Support clients with financial queries and provide professional accounting guidance.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and international regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements and the enhancement of internal financial controls.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients and professional advisers.
- Travel internationally when required to attend client meetings, business development activities, or support cross-border projects.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- ACA or ACCA qualification is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience within a corporate services firm, professional services environment, accounting practice, or multinational organisation; international experience will be considered an advantage.
- Proven experience working with international clients and multi-jurisdictional corporate structures.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and international financial reporting standards.
- Experience preparing financial statements for international companies.
- Good understanding of corporate tax, VAT, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience coordinating audits and working with external advisers.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client portfolios and deadlines.
- Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages will be considered an advantage.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required.
- Highly professional with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong commercial awareness and client-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.

SALARY AND BENEFTIS
- €40,000- €50,000 Gross Per Annum
- Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability
- Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 2:00 pm
