GRS Recruitment are looking for a detail-driven and analytical Reconciliation Officer to join our client's team in a role that goes beyond standard reconciliation tasks. This position sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and data, playing a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of client funds, safeguarding processes, and financial reporting. You’ll be responsible not only for reconciliations, but also for investigating discrepancies, improving processes, and contributing to automation initiatives. If you enjoy solving complex financial puzzles, working with data, and driving improvements — this role offers strong ownership and impact.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Reconciliation & Monitoring
  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of client funds and client equity
  • Monitor and maintain balances across bank accounts and PSPs
  • Track transfers, settlements, and liquidity movements
  • Reconcile trading transactions including trade confirmations, settlements, and payments
Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare daily balance reports and reconciliation summaries
  • Generate financial and revenue reports, including discrepancy analysis
  • Produce reports on client balances and company performance
  • Conduct fee analysis across service providers (by region, provider, transaction type)
Investigation & Issue Resolution
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Recalculate client equity and revenue cycles to detect inconsistencies
  • Work closely with Treasury, Dealing, IT, BI, and Finance teams to resolve issues
  • Liaise with external partners (banks, PSPs) when required
Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify weaknesses in current reconciliation processes
  • Recommend and implement process improvements
  • Support automation and system implementation projects
  • Contribute to improving reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
Regulatory & Operational Support
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports
  • Ensure proper record-keeping and audit readiness
  • Support finance and operations teams with ad-hoc tasks and projects
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or related field
  • 2–3+ years of experience in reconciliation, finance, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Client funds & client equity
    • Reconciliation processes
    • Safeguarding and surplus management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent command of English
