GRS is currently working with a regulated investment firm in Limassol that is looking to hire a Risk Manager to join their team on a full-time. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong regulatory knowledge and hands-on experience within a CySEC-regulated environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting on risks in line with CySEC regulations and internal frameworks. This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and a solid understanding of MiFID II requirements.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement the company’s Risk Management Framework in line with CySEC and MiFID II
- Perform regular risk assessments across all business areas and propose mitigation strategies
- Maintain and update the Risk Register, monitoring key risk indicators
- Assist with ICAAP and Pillar III reporting
- Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and the board
- Collaborate with compliance and internal audit teams to ensure regulatory adherence
- Monitor operational, credit, market, liquidity, and reputational risks
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis
- Evaluate third-party/vendor risk and support business continuity planning
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- CySEC Advanced Certificate (mandatory)
- Proven experience in a risk management or compliance role within a CySEC-regulated entity
- Excellent knowledge of CySEC regulations and MiFID II
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, dashboards)
- Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
