GRS Recruitment is pleased to partner with a well-established accounting company based in Malta, seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. The Senior Accountant will oversee the firm's financial operations, including the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, financial statements, budgeting, cash‑flow management, reconciliations, VAT filings, and regulatory compliance. The selected candidate will also support senior leadership with financial insights, develop internal financial controls, and manage the Finance team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation of timely monthly / quarterly management accounts, financial statements, and cash flow.

Manage the preparation of the firm’s budgets.

Responsible for the firm’s financial operations including accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.

Oversee accounting operations, including financial reporting and reconciliations.

Assist in debtor chasing, together with the team

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

Manage cash flow and bank accounts.

Ensure compliance with financial standards, regulatory requirements, VAT filings, and audit.

Develop internal financial controls and policies.

Support senior leadership with financial insights and decision-making.

Responsible for managing the firm’s finance team.

Issue monthly management accounts on a timely basis
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or any relevant qualification/ ACCA qualification.

4 years working experience, 1 of which managing a team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Organised and detail-oriented person

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Tools.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent communication. Fluency in both Maltese and English
