On behalf of our client, an international group of companies operating within the aviation industry, headquartered in Malta and experiencing significant growth, GRS Recruitment is seeking an Accounting Officer. An opportunity to join the finance team of a growing international aviation group as an Accounting Officer. Working closely with colleagues, you'll support the Group's day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure timely, accurate financial reporting across the business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records.
- Issue customer invoices, monitor aged receivables, and manage accrued income.
- Post purchase invoices and monitor accounts payable.
- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and inter-company transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes and deadlines.
- Carry out inter-company reconciliations and related reporting activities.
- Participate in assigned internal projects and support the smooth running of the department.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- A minimum of an A Level in Accounts.
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of local VAT regulations (an asset).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Maltese an asset.
- Local experience within the aviation industry, or prior experience with a Big Four audit firm or corporate service provider.
SALARY & BENEFITS
- €28,000 – €32,000 Gross Per Annum.
- Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
