GRS Recruitment is working with a fast-growing global forex broker in Limassol that is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with a strong background in the Forex industry who is looking to take on a leadership role within a dynamic, multi-entity environment. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, the successful candidate will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, supervise a Junior Accountant, and play a key role in strengthening financial reporting and controls across the business.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the daily accounting operations across multiple group entities.
- Manage bookkeeping activities, reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Execute and record payments, bank transactions, and reconciliations, including PSP reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Support internal and external audit processes and liaise with auditors.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen financial controls.
- Provide financial support and insights to senior management.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior accounting team members.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 4 - 5 years' accounting experience, including significant experience within the Forex industry.
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory accounting position.
- Strong knowledge of management accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
- Hands-on experience with PSP reconciliations and high-volume transaction environments.
- Experience working within multi-entity or international group structures.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using accounting software (Xero experience is advantageous).
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- €47,000 - €54,000 Gross Per Annum.
- Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
