Our client, a reputable private real estate company based in Limassol, is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant with experience in financial statements and VAT within the real estate sector to further develop their career in a supporting and progressive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accounting issues for a group of companies and to be in close contact with the bookkeeper and the finance manager. You will be mainly responsible for ensuring the financial statements of the group are prepared and submitted on time, including any reports required for tax ,VAT, any other authority.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Keeping and booking accounting records and bank transactions in Priority.

Making reconciliation of data between various group companies
-
Assistance in reviewing prepayments, accruals, Intercompany balances, and transactions.

Assistance in preparation and submission of VAT returns accurately and on time.

Assistance in supervision of month-end closing of the Companies of the Group.

Supporting the annual audit process.

Maintaining summary tables and various supporting calculations.

Communications with auditors, tax advisors, banks and other institutions and other service providers.

Any adhoc tasks as assigned by Group Accounting supervisor and Group Head of Accounting.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Master or Bachelor degree in accounting/finance/ economics or part-qualified in ACCA.

Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting positions with at least 3 years in FX industry in similar role

Good knowledge of IFRS.

Experienced and knowledgeable of accounting principles, financial reporting, financial management and general taxation and VAT principles.

Ability to work in a fast-changing environment and managing high volume of transactions and data.

International experience – Must

Ability to set up new process and setting at Priority

Fluently English and Any additional foreigner language will be considered as advantage

Very good organizational skills and prioritization of tasks.

Handle tasks well under pressure.

Experience in dealing with external auditors.

Very good knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Word).

Knowledge of Priority software will be considered an advantage.
