GRS Recruitment are seeking a Senior Compliance Officer & MLRO with expertise in FX and CFD products to lead our clients compliance function and ensure alignment with FCA standards and broader regulatory frameworks in London. This is a high-impact role for a compliance leader who thrives on responsibility, strategic oversight, and collaboration and who understands the balance between innovation and regulatory integrity.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, implement, and evolve the firm’s compliance strategy, aligning it with FCA requirements and internal policies.

Act as the primary liaison with the FCA and other regulatory bodies, managing all communications and regulatory submissions.

Lead all aspects of AML/CTF compliance, including risk assessments, reporting to the FCA/NCA, and performing the SMF17 function.

Oversee regulatory reporting obligations such as EMIR and MiFIR, and prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for the FCA and company leadership.

Deliver compliance and AML training across departments to strengthen regulatory awareness and a culture of integrity.

Manage customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and ongoing monitoring protocols.

Support the board with ICARA, liquidity frameworks, and periodic reporting, including anti-bribery and AML risk assessments.

Champion ethical conduct and foster a compliance-driven culture across all business units.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Solid of experience in Compliance and Regulatory Affairs, ideally in the FX and CFD sector.

Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks, including FCA, SMF16/17 responsibilities, and AML legislation (UK Money Laundering Regulations, JMLSG guidance).

A proven track record of engaging directly with regulators and navigating complex compliance environments.

Solid understanding of EMIR, MiFIR, and other key regulatory obligations.
