An international firm which offers compliance solutions to an array of clients, is searching for an experienced Regulatory Compliance Advisor to join their team in Malta. You will provide day-to-day support in the development, implementation and maintenance of regulatory compliance for a variety of clients within investment services, MICA, Payments and EMIs. The ideal candidate will be in possession of a tertiary degree or professional qualification related to law, banking and finance and investment services. You should also have solid experience in compliance and have full understanding of the duties of a Compliance Officer. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide day-to-day support in the development, implementation and maintenance of regulatory compliance for a variety of clients within investment services, MICA, Payments and EMIs
  • Assist with the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures-ensure compliance policies and procedures are effectively communicated to client, in accordance with the client’s regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and interpret new regulations which could impact clients
  • Monitor MFSA circulars etc. to follow up with clients
  • Submit quarterly compliance reports
  • Assist in conducting onsite compliance visits
  • Assist regulators during their onsite visits; and
  • Handling correspondence with regulatory authorities
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Be in possession of a tertiary degree or professional qualification related to law, banking and finance and investment services;
  • An understanding of the role of the compliance officer, the compliance program development and its maintenance;
  • Eager to grow and become approved by the MFSA.
  • An understanding of laws and regulations surrounding investment services business and their application.
  • Ability to think critically to efficiently and effectively provide solutions to regulatory issues
  • Possess good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong, independent self –starter, as well as be capable to work in a team; and
  • Strong research and time management skills
