MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITLIES
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial and corporate contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Prepare and review legal documentation, including briefs, pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
- Support the handling of legal disputes and regulatory matters, including negotiation, mediation, and arbitration
- Conduct legal research to remain up to date with regulatory changes and legal developments impacting the business
- Assist with the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to minimise legal risk
- Ensure the organisation maintains full compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks
- Provide legal advice across multiple areas, including corporate law, contract law, regulatory compliance, and employment matters
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to support aligned legal and compliance strategies
- Assist management with additional legal matters as required
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Detail-oriented and commercially minded lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced fintech environment.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally within Financial Services, Forex, Payments, or FinTech
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (Master’s Degree considered an advantage)
- Qualified Lawyer and member of the Cyprus Bar Association
- Strong experience in corporate law and regulatory compliance within the fintech or financial services sector
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Solid understanding of industry regulatory and compliance frameworks
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills
- High level of attention to detail and professional integrity
