GRS Recruitment is working on behalf of an established family office who are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Finance Officer to support the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of a dynamic investment-focused organisation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across financial processes, reporting, and documentation. You will work closely with finance, investment, and beneficiary teams, contributing to smooth operations and high-quality financial governance. 
Important note: This role is scheduled to relocate to Switzerland in 2026. The successful candidate must be fully eligible to live and work in Switzerland without the need for visa sponsorship or work permit support.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records on a daily basis.
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile accounts and general ledger entries.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly integrated investment portfolio reports.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows, including invoice review, processing, and payment execution.
  • Process employee and operational expense claims.
  • Prepare customer invoices and actively follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Maintain accurate vendor and client payment records.
  • Perform daily bank and cash reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash positions and support treasury-related activities.
  • Prepare and submit securities transfer instructions to counterparties and monitor execution.
  • Support corporate action processes related to portfolio holdings.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal financial and management reports.
  • Maintain well-organised financial documentation and filing systems.
  • Ensure accounting records and reporting comply with IFRS standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes by providing accurate financial information.
  • Prepare and submit annual dividend tax refund applications where applicable.
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial policies, controls, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient and compliant financial operations.
  • Assist with ad-hoc operational and administrative tasks related to finance, investment, and beneficiary activities.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting support role.
  • Fluency in English is essential; Russian required; German is a strong advantage.
  • EU passport or unrestricted work rights (no visa or work permit sponsorship available).
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial data management.
  • Experience with accounting systems such as SAP, QuickBooks, or similar platforms is an advantage.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information.
  • Understanding of wealth management or investment operations is a plus.
  • Commitment to internal compliance standards, policies, and collaborative teamwork.
