GRS Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a highly respected and internationally recognised organisation within the investment and financial services sector, currently seeking an experienced and commercially driven Financial Controller to join their dynamic and growing team in Nicosia. This is an exciting senior-level opportunity for a finance professional looking to take on a strategic and hands-on role within a fast-paced international environment. Reporting directly to the Financial Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing financial operations, enhancing reporting processes, and supporting the company’s wider financial strategy and growth objectives.  The ideal candidate will be confident working autonomously, while also building strong working relationships with the Accounting team and wider business. The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can contribute to operational excellence, drive efficiencies, and provide valuable financial insight to senior management.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and manage the group of company’s financial reporting and controls
  • Prepare quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and risk management
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting standards
  • Work closely with the Accounting team to improve financial processes and efficiencies
  • Provide financial insights and reports directly to the Financial Director and senior management
  • Assist with audits, tax coordination, and internal controls
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance position
  • Previous experience within the big 4 is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and controls
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA or ACA or equivalent preferred
