A leading global tech company with offices worldwide, including Cyprus, is partnering with GRS Recruitment to find a Senior Global Legal Counsel for their Cyprus operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for addressing the company’s daily legal needs, as well as providing support to the broader Group. This includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements with suppliers and customers, ensuring global legal compliance, and offering sound advice on various legal issues, including labour laws. The Senior Global Legal Counsel will act as a trusted advisor to the business and its stakeholders, working closely with the Head of Legal and contributing to the company’s dynamic global legal team.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Handle a wide range of transactional legal work across the company’s global operations, managing external legal counsel in different jurisdictions as necessary.

Stay informed about the regulatory environment in which the company operates, providing solid legal guidance on incorporation, licensing, and operational legal requirements in various jurisdictions.

Draft, negotiate, and review complex legal agreements, including NDAs, LOIs, master service agreements, SLAs, facility agreements, and more.

Review and negotiate lease agreements.

Collaborate with global legal team members on projects and strategic initiatives.

Respond promptly to internal requests, providing clear summaries and assessments of legal risks, balancing risk with the business objectives of the Group.

Conduct legal research and provide advice on solutions for the Group’s expanding operations across its sites.

Assist with intellectual property (IP) issues, including management of the trademark portfolio.

Monitor and stay updated on changes in legislation or rules that may affect business operations.

Perform other duties as needed in the role of Senior Global Counsel to the Company.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

A Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Law, preferably specializing in commercial law.

A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience in legal practice, ideally within a large law firm or as in-house counsel, advising large multinational companies in the tech sector.

Ability to navigate and work effectively within a global, matrixed organization, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders while ensuring legal compliance across the Group.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal information clearly and concisely.

A business-minded attorney with expertise in corporate law, commercial contracts, IP, IT, cybersecurity, privacy law, and employment law. The ability to drive practical, legally sound solutions to problems is essential.

Exceptional contract review, drafting, and negotiation skills, including the ability to customize standard templates for specific business needs.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Fluency in English is essential, both spoken and written. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
