Our client, a growing and innovative Wealth Management company based in Larnaca, is seeking a dedicated Senior Investment Analyst. We are looking for an analytical and commercially minded Investment Analyst to support the evaluation, selection, and monitoring of investment opportunities across traditional and alternative asset classes. The successful candidate will contribute to investment research, manager assessment, portfolio oversight, and the preparation of materials that support investment decision-making. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investment Research & Analysis
- Assess prospective investment opportunities across equities, fixed income instruments, collective investment schemes, and structured investment products.
- Produce market intelligence and thematic research covering industries, regions, investment styles, and asset categories.
- Analyse alternative investment vehicles, including private market strategies, credit-focused investments, hedge fund structures, infrastructure projects, and real asset opportunities.
- Review macroeconomic developments, market trends, and sector-specific factors that may influence portfolio positioning and investment outcomes.
- Fund & Manager Evaluation
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of investment managers, including historical performance, portfolio construction methodologies, fee arrangements, and risk characteristics.
- Assist in identifying and assessing suitable managers and investment solutions for inclusion within client portfolios.
- Participate in manager meetings and contribute to the evaluation process through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting
- Track portfolio holdings and provide regular updates on investment performance and material developments.
- Support the identification of potential divestment opportunities and changes in investment outlook.
- Prepare investment committee materials, analytical reports, portfolio reviews, and performance summaries.
- Develop and maintain financial models used for performance measurement, valuation analysis, cash flow forecasting, and portfolio exposure assessments.
- Due Diligence & Data Management
- Assist with investment due diligence activities, including document analysis, background research, reference verification, and manager engagement.
- Ensure investment data is accurately maintained across portfolio management and market information systems.
- Support the integrity and ongoing enhancement of internal investment databases and reporting tools.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
- Minimum of two years' experience within investment research, portfolio analysis, asset management, wealth management, or capital markets.
- Familiarity with private market investments and alternative asset strategies is considered beneficial.
- Advanced analytical and modelling skills with strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using investment and market data platforms, including Bloomberg and portfolio reporting systems.
- Exposure to data analytics tools and programming languages such as Python will be viewed positively.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare professional research reports, investment commentary, and recommendation papers.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
- Progress toward or completion of the CFA designation or a comparable professional qualification is advantageous.
- Professional-level written and spoken English.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- €45,000 - €60,000 Gross Per Annum
- Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, and any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
