Our client is a payment software provider seeking to recruit a ‘Senior Legal Advisor’ for their Limassol based office. The Senior Legal Advisor will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal guidance and support to various departments, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing the payments & Fintech industry. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on a wide range of payments-related matters

Provide support on corporate governance matters, policies and procedures.

Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements, such as partnership agreements, licensing agreements and supplier contracts.

Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.

Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and training programs to promote compliance with industry standards.

Manage and assist with complex inquiries, audits and investigations, working closely with external legal counsel as necessary.

Stay informed of emerging trends, technologies, and legal developments in the industry and provide guidance to the company on potential opportunities and risks.

Monitor and stay abreast of changes in the industry’s laws and regulations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably practicing law within a SaaS environment.

Knowledge of employment law in Cyprus.

Proven experience with commercial negotiations.

Strong understanding of the industry’s laws and regulations.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work with cross-functional teams, managing multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Experience in the payments industry or working with payment companies is preferred but not required.
