GRS Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and reputable boutique law firm in Limassol to recruit a Senior Litigation Lawyer to join its professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation lawyer to take responsibility for a broad portfolio of civil litigation matters, represent clients before the Cyprus District Courts and provide practical legal advice, while also supporting the firm's property-related work. The successful candidate will have substantial hands-on litigation experience and the ability to manage cases independently, from initial client consultation and drafting through to court proceedings and resolution.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Independently manage and handle a portfolio of civil litigation cases, representing and defending clients before various District Courts.

Handle a broad range of civil litigation matters, including contract law, banking law, property and real estate law, rent control law, family law, debt collection and other areas of civil litigation.

Draft, review and amend litigation pleadings and court documents, including Writs of Summons, Statements of Claim, Interim Applications, Counterclaims, Defences and Affidavits.

Prepare cases for court proceedings, including reviewing evidence, preparing legal submissions and advising clients on litigation strategy.

Appear before the District Courts and represent clients throughout court proceedings.

Conduct thorough research into Cypriot and foreign case law, legislation, regulations and legal articles.

Provide clear, practical and commercially minded legal opinions and advice to clients.

Represent clients in negotiations and out-of-court settlements.

Draft, negotiate and review various types of agreements, including sale and purchase, assignment, cancellation and tenancy agreements.

Assist with and advise on property transactions and related legal matters.

Attend client meetings, understand their requirements and provide appropriate legal advice.

Maintain strong client relationships and manage matters professionally from instruction through to completion.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Member of the Cyprus Bar Association.

Minimum 7 years of experience as a Litigation Lawyer, with substantial hands-on experience in civil litigation and court proceedings.

Demonstrable experience independently managing litigation matters and representing clients before the Cyprus District Courts.

Strong experience in drafting and reviewing court pleadings and litigation documents.

Experience across areas such as contract, banking, property/real estate, rent control, debt collection or other civil litigation matters.

Previous experience handling property transactions and drafting related agreements.

Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.

Strong legal research, analytical and drafting skills.

Excellent client management, communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage cases independently, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

High level of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail.
SALARY AND BENEFITS

€39,000 - €52,000 Gross Per Annum.

Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:30–17:30, with one-hour lunch break, Friday: 08:30–14:00
