JOB DESCRIPTION

Ref#11567

On behalf of our client, a Telecommunications client servicing the law enforcement sector internationally based in Nicosia, GRS Recruitment is seeking a Senior Project Manager.  As Senior Project Manager, you will own the full lifecycle of complex, multi-disciplinary projects — from requirement definition and planning through execution, delivery, and successful handover in the customer's environment. You will operate at the center of a matrix organization, aligning R&D, Product, QA, Operations, and customers around a single plan, and you'll set the standard for how project management is done. This is a senior, high-ownership position for someone who combines strong technical fluency with the leadership to drive decisions, manage risk, and deliver on time and on budget.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent projects across the full lifecycle — scoping, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing — for both internal product development and customer-facing turnkey programs.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and technical feasibility together with all relevant internal departments, and translate them into a realistic, resource-loaded work plan.
  • Lead execution across a strong matrix organization — R&D (HW & SW), Product Management, QA, Integration, Operations, and Logistics — keeping every stakeholder aligned on requirements, schedule, and budget.
  • Drive HW and SW R&D through every phase: scoping, planning, task and milestone tracking, testing, and handover to production.
  • Take full responsibility for delivering on time, to quality and technical specification, and within the agreed budget.
  • Own delivery risk end to end — identify, communicate, and drive mitigation and contingency plans before issues become delays; escalate decisively when needed.
  • Establish and run clear communication plans; report progress, metrics (quality, performance, capacity/load), and risks to management and customers.
  • Lead the creation of project documentation — SOW, technical characterization, user manuals, training materials — and manage CRM data throughout the project.
  • Direct and guide cross-functional teams throughout the process, facilitating debate and driving timely decisions on the right solutions.
  • Secure customer acceptance of deliverables, and run post-project evaluations to capture what worked and what to improve.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, key partners, and customers.
  • Mentor and elevate project management practice across the organization, leading the rollout of new processes and tools.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
  • 5+ years managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects end to end, including R&D (HW and/or SW) deliveries.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale development projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Deep working knowledge of RF and/or mobile telephony technology.
  • Demonstrated success operating in a matrix environment and leading cross-departmental processes.
  • Strong command of project management methodology and tools — risk management, Gantt/scheduling, MS Project, Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills; able to drive decisions and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly structured, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and execute across many parallel tasks.
  • Ability to hold both a wide system view and dive into high- and low-level technical detail.
  • Fluent English (written and verbal).
  • Availability to travel internationally
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Systems Engineering.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience with defense/security/law enforcement-market customers and electronic warfare or RF systems.
  • CRM experience.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
  • €45,000  – €55,000 Gross Per Annum.
  • Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
