MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks and policies.
- Identify, assess, and prioritise risks across the organisation.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits.
- Monitor and report on risk exposure and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure risk management practices are integrated into business processes.
- Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct compliance training and awareness programmes for employees.
- Monitor and report on compliance activities and issues.
- Manage and respond to regulatory inquiries and examinations.
- Design and implement effective internal controls to mitigate risks.
- Conduct regular reviews and testing of internal controls.
- Identify and address any weaknesses in internal controls.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programmes on risk management and compliance for employees at all levels.
- Ensure training materials are up-to-date and reflect current regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and make improvements as necessary.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and the board of directors on risk and compliance matters.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all risk and compliance activities.
- Develop, lead and mentor First Lines.
- Foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance throughout the organisation.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Criminology, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CRISC, CCEP, CAMS) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management and compliance, preferably in the financial services sector.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
