As the business continues to grow, we're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team in Larnaca and play a key role in designing, developing and delivering scalable software solutions for an international client base. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll take ownership of software design and development while helping to shape technical standards and mentor fellow developers. You'll work on modern applications, APIs and cloud-ready solutions, leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to deliver high-quality products.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance software applications.
- Lead technical discussions, contribute to system architecture and promote engineering best practices.
- Develop and integrate secure, scalable APIs.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Plan, coordinate and support software releases and deployments.
- Troubleshoot, optimise and maintain existing applications.
- Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and contribute to AI-enabled product features where appropriate.
- Ensure solutions are secure, maintainable and built for long-term scalability.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in software development.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of modern web technologies, software architecture, design patterns and data structures.
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Proven experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Experience with containerisation and deployment workflows.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with fluent English.
- Good to have: experience with ETL tools, knowledge of business analytics, exposure to AI frameworks or large language model (LLM) technologies.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- €30,000 - €40,000 Gross Per Annum
- Salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills. The advertised salary range is indicative, any offer will reflect the successful candidate’s suitability.
