MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Administer Linux and Windows servers, both on-premises in a virtualized (VMware) environment and remotely at datacenters.
  • Manage network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) and ensure secure, stable connectivity.
  • Oversee hardware procurement, installation, and configuration as needed.
  • Configure and maintain SIP systems (VoIP, IVR menus, call routing).
  • Serve as the go-to for diagnosing and resolving a broad range of IT issues (servers, workstations, networking).
  • Collaborate with the software development team to integrate scripts or small programs that optimize processes.
  • Assist in automating routine tasks (e.g., server health checks, backups, deployment scripts).
  • Document infrastructure configurations, workflows, and "gotchas".
  • Identify areas to standardize and improve existing processes.
  • Maintain organized change-management and best practices.
  • Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, expansions, or migrations as the company grows.
  • Research and recommend new technologies, tools, or approaches to keep our IT environment resilient and modern.
CANDIDATE PROFILE 
  • Solid foundation in system administration on both Linux and Windows.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware).
  • Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, Cisco, Zyxel).
  • Familiarity with SIP/VoIP and related telephony systems.
  • Basic proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash or PowerShell).
  • Willingness to learn and support development tasks in PHP.
  • Comfortable owning a broad scope of IT responsibilities in a small-company environment.
  • Able to troubleshoot complex issues independently, yet willing to collaborate with the team when needed.
  • Ability to create clear, concise documentation and maintain it over time.
  • Keen eye for spotting opportunities to streamline or improve existing processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to assist non-technical colleagues.
  • Able to explain technical concepts clearly and politely to a variety of stakeholders.
