DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Systems & Infrastructure

Design, implement, and support robust Windows and Linux server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms

Manage hybrid identity systems including Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, and role-based access controls

Oversee virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V, including storage and performance optimisation
Network Engineering

Architect and maintain secure, scalable LAN, WAN, and wireless networks

Configure and manage enterprise-grade firewalls, VPNs, and security infrastructure
-
Ensure seamless and secure connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud environments
Security & Resilience
-
Strengthen infrastructure through hardening, patching, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning

Monitor systems for performance, availability, and security threats

Lead incident response efforts, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
Compliance & Governance
-
Ensure alignment with ISO 27001 and NIS regulatory requirements

Lead infrastructure upgrades, segmentation projects, and security enhancement initiatives
-
Maintain clear, audit-ready technical documentation and operational procedures
Collaboration & Support

Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development

Work closely with stakeholders to translate technical challenges into business solutions
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Technical Expertise
-
Proven experience in enterprise systems and network infrastructure in hybrid environments
-
Strong Windows Server and Linux administration skills
-
Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network security

Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Aruba technologies
-
Hands-on experience with PowerShell and/or Bash scripting
-
Strong understanding of virtualization, storage, and backup solutions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (or equivalent)

CCNP, Fortinet NSE 4+, or equivalent networking certifications

Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Network Engineer Associate (advantageous)
-
ISO 27001 Foundation or Lead Implementer (highly desirable)

ITIL Foundation certification (plus)
