Our client is seeking a Shipping Assistant for a 1-year contract, emphasizing qualities such as dependability, punctuality, and responsibility. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading, invoices and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules
  • Issues written and oral instructions
  • Responds to errors and complaints
  • Schedules and executions of all incoming and outbound shipments
  • Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
  • Offer full assistance and support in shipping and the handling of import and export documentation
  • Initiating purchase requests and keeping track of the stages through each order is routed
  • Follows up with supplier and customers for the safe receipt of the shipments
  • Timely and accurate update of the shipping documents in the ERP system
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Degree in Shipping / Maritime / Logistics Studies
  • Excellent command of English
  • Solid analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate including: Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
  • Team player and proactive in terms of taking the initiative to perform tasks as required
